Anonymous asked: I saw your post on "Hair and Tear" and I thought it was interesting how you are abroad in Spain. Did you decide to wear a weave while there and now wish you had not? How would you have felt if you rocked your natural hair in Spain? Just curious. (: @lovenaturalsunshine

Hola :) I did decide to wear a weave for at least the first half of my time here (which would’ve been 2 months, but I’m currently at a month and a half, more or less). 

Not that I wish I wouldn’t have, but it’s just a tremendous amount of effort to look this way, when I normally look so different without straight hair, especially straight hair that isn’t mine. I would’ve opted for extensions in the form of twists or braids, but the edges of my hair are veeerryy soft, so they tend to slip out, and I don’t know how to put them back in.

I think I might have gotten a stronger reception from Spanish men, who seem to love my “exotic” look. The twists or afro would’ve sent them into a frenzy, and I didn’t need anymore advances upon my arrival. So if I rocked it before, I probably would’ve been irritated.

But I’m considering letting my hair breathe for a week or 2 before I put in more extensions so…Feel free to ask this question again around March 10th or so lol
